Located in Altus, Arkansas, the Wine Country Cottage is in the middle of town. While enjoying your peaceful and relaxing stay, you are within walking distance from local businesses like Kelts (a Pub featuring foods and brews of the British Isles), Alligator Rays (a Cajun-style Bar) and many more area attractions. Within two blocks, you can walk to the Heritage House Museum and learn about the history of our town, or stroll in the beautiful City Park and walk the 1/4 mile Fitness Trail around picnic tables and park benches. Children enjoy the playground equipment and swings, while others play basketball on the high-school regulation-size court in the center of the park. Just a short ride away from the cottage, there are many wineries that offer juice and wine-tasting and winery/vineyard tours. Atop St. Mary's Mountain just minutes away from the Cottage, the historic and beautifully restored St. Mary's Church welcomes visitors to come inside to pray or just rest awhile and enjoy the ornate paintings. Be sure to take a minute to stop and sit beside the church at the overlook where you can see Altus from the view point above. The Wine Country Cottage is a 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath, fully furnished cottage featuring all the amenities of home. Other features include our spacious front deck for sitting and enjoying this beautiful Arkansas weather. Our back deck is ideal for a summer gathering and is equipped with a barbeque grill.
